Texas Forest Country Retreat
About the Client
Texas Forest Country Retreat is a charming event venue nestled in the heart of East Texas' Pineywoods. With multiple spaces—including a historic log baron’s home and the stunning new Union Station—the retreat offers the perfect setting for weddings, showers, retreats, and special celebrations of all kinds.

The Challenge
Preserving elegance while expanding perception—that was the tightrope this historic venue needed to walk. Known for its Victorian‑era bed‑and‑breakfast charm, the brand’s identity was frozen in time: a dated, single‑focus logo and a website that spoke only to overnight guests. Yet the numbers told a different story. Weddings, showers, graduations, and corporate gatherings filled the calendar far more often than weekend stays.
Our task was twofold:
-
Honor the Heritage. Any new branding had to respect the estate’s East Texas legacy as the former home of a 19th‑century logging baron, preserving the refined aesthetics and sense of history that make the property unique.
-
Elevate the Event Experience. The rebrand needed to reposition the venue as a premier destination for celebrations of every kind. Each on‑site location—garden arbor, carriage house, grand parlor, and more—had to shine with its own personality while fitting into a cohesive, upscale identity.
Imagery, copy, and website UX all had to showcase the manicured grounds, flexible spaces, and limitless potential for unforgettable occasions—without losing the intimate warmth of a heritage bed and breakfast.
Our Solution
MSGPR began by crafting a clean, elegant logo that balanced tradition with vision. The new design features a refined outline of the historic home, paired with modern typography that communicates the venue’s expanded role as a destination for weddings and special events. A soft, airy pink paired with a stately navy created a brand palette that is both romantic and timeless—perfectly reflecting the property's charm and elevated experience.
On the website, visual storytelling took center stage. Generous use of white space and strategic layout choices ensured the venue’s stunning photography stood out. A dedicated photo gallery showcased real events—highlighting the diversity of spaces available across the grounds and helping visitors imagine their own celebrations in the setting.
The final result was more than just a rebrand—it was a transformation. The updated website and promotional materials positioned the venue to scale, drawing in brides, planners, and guests searching for a location steeped in East Texas history and full of potential for unforgettable moments.
